Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farzaneh Bayat | Melamine Detection | Best Researcher Award

Associate Professor at Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University | Iran

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farzaneh Bayat is a distinguished physicist and nanophotonics researcher at Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Iran. Her research focuses on the design and fabrication of photonic crystals, localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) biosensors, nanosphere lithography, and inverse opal structures for biomedical and optical applications. She has advanced optical sensor technologies by integrating nanostructured materials for the early detection of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and cancer through plasmonic biosensing. Her pioneering work extends to solar energy harvesting and photocatalysis, where she has enhanced light absorption and quantum efficiency using hybrid nanocomposites and plasmonic materials. Dr. Bayat has contributed significantly to the understanding of light–matter interactions, developing tunable photonic and plasma crystal structures with applications in biosensing, environmental monitoring, and optoelectronics. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges physics, materials science, and biophotonics, supported by over 36 Scopus-indexed publications, 242 citations, and an h-index of 10. Her innovative contributions and consistent scientific output establish her as a leading figure in photonic biosensing and nanostructured material design, making her an outstanding candidate for the Best Researcher Award.
